When you cross into the energy realms your thoughts instantly manifest around you (rather than taking time). Since your inner reality manifests as external reality instantly, you can become trapped in your own worst fears, like in a constant nightmare.
“Hell” is being trapped in a state of darkness and confusion, constantly reliving a nightmare created by your own beliefs – either in life or beyond it.
If anything I would classify it as a challenge, since there isn’t anyone to punish you other than yourself.
